Use wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes that should stay neat. Fold casual clothing into medium boxes or suitcases. Keep bedding for the final packing window unless it is seasonal.
Kitchen
Use dish boxes for plates and glasses, small boxes for pantry cans, and medium boxes for plastic containers or light appliances. Keep one open-first kitchen box with simple cooking and cleaning basics.
Office and books
Books, documents, tools, and dense office goods belong in small boxes. Label file boxes clearly and keep critical documents with you rather than in the moving stack.
Garage and storage
Sort before packing. Tools, hardware, seasonal goods, and outdoor gear can inflate the estimate quickly, and some items may need special handling instead of ordinary boxes.
