FAQ
Moving box calculator FAQ
Quick answers about estimates, box sizes, specialty boxes, supplies, and checklist printing.
How accurate is the moving box calculator?
It gives a planning range, not a guaranteed quantity. Home size, storage density, decluttering, and packing style can change the final number.
Why does the calculator show a low and high range?
A range is more honest than a single exact number. It helps you plan a normal supply run while keeping room for light or heavy packing styles.
Should I use large boxes for books?
No. Books and other dense items should go in small boxes so the packed box stays liftable and stackable.
Does BoxReady Planner sell boxes?
No. The site is an independent planning tool and does not use a shopping cart, live prices, or email capture.
When should I add fragile items?
Mark fragile items when you have glassware, dishes, framed pieces, ceramics, lamps, or decor that needs paper, wrap, or specialty boxes.
Can I print the checklist?
Yes. Use the Print checklist button on the calculator result panel to print or save the current estimate.
